Karen Crawford Appointed to Co-Chair ABA Litigation Section Professional Development Committee

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough Columbia partner Karen Aldridge Crawford has been appointed to co-chair the Professional Development committee for the Section of Litigation of the American Bar Association (ABA). Legal professionals from all areas of practice turn to the ABA Section of Litigation for member-only access to the latest news, information, and thinking on legal strategy, bringing all sides to one place to form a comprehensive view of the profession.
The ABA Annual Meeting was held on Aug. 8-13 in San Francisco, California where Crawford attended the Litigation Section's leadership kick-off event for her new appointment. She most recently co-chaired the ABA's Environmental & Energy Litigation Committee (EELC, 2016-2019) before she had received her appointment to the Professional Development committee by ABA Section of Litigation Chair Barb Dawson.
Crawford is also a member of the ABA's Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Section, the Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources, a former Executive Committee member of the ABA's Women Rainmakers and remains co-chair of the Air Sub-committee of EELC .
Crawford practices in the areas of environmental law and litigation, toxic torts, workplace safety and product liability. The Institute of Professional Environmental Practice recognized Crawford as a Qualified Environmental Professional in 1997, a distinction awarded after 15 years’ experience and examination on a specific technical environmental project.
